WHERE IS VOLOS?
Volos is in the mid-eastern side of Greece and you have many choices of how to get here .
There are various flights to Volos and to Skiathos from many European cities. Otherwise, Volos is accessible by road from Greece’s main international airports in Athens and Thessaloniki.

By air to Nea Anchialos Airport and then by road to Volos in 20 min.
By air to Skiathos Airport and from there by ferry to Volos (2 hrs 30 min) or 1 hr 30 min by flying dolphin.
By road from the borders: Evzoni to Volos 280km, Eidomeni to Volos 320km.
By ferry boat from abroad to the ports of Igoumenitsa and Patras and from there by road.
By air via the Athens and Thessaloniki airports and from there by road or rail:
From Athens to Volos by intercity bus in 4 hrs (324km).
From Thessaloniki to Volos by intercity bus in 2 hrs 30 mins (216km).
From Athens to Volos by rail in 4 hrs 30 min.
From Thessaloniki to Volos by rail in 3 hrs 30 min.

Air Travel  Information
Nea Anchialos -   Volos International Airport  of  Central Greece
The most direct air route to Volos is via Volos International Airport otherwise known as Nea Anchialos National Airport which is about 20mins by road from Volos City. This airport carries a growing number of international charter flights and from here, you can catch a local bus, taxi or pick up a hire car to get you to Volos or your accommodation. Airport / Volos Bus service operates daily.

Thessaloniki – Makedonia International Airport

Thessaloniki is 2.5 hours away from Volos and we can help you arrange easy road transfer to
Volos. There are regular buses from Thessaloniki to Volos, as well as car rental possibilities. More
importantly, we can offer you our personal Airport Transfer Service, where we will pick you up
from Thessaloniki Airport and take you directly to your yacht in Volos. Please contact

Otherwise the easiest way is to get to the intercity bus (KTEL) terminal is to use the 78 AIRPORT - INTERCITY BUS TERMINAL (VIA CITY CENTRE)  airport bus. From the arrivals gate just follow directions to the buses. Take the bus route 78 Makedonia Airport - Intercity Bus Station,  and get on the next bus to Volos.

Directions from Athens airport to the Liosion Intercity Bus Terminal for the Volos bus.
Athens International Airport is located 33km southeast of Athens.
 We can offer you our personal Airport Transfer Service, where we will pick you up from Athens  Airport and take you directly to your yacht in Volos.
Otherwise the easiest way is to get to the intercity bus (KTEL) terminal is to use the X93 express airport bus or you can go by train, metro or taxi. The X93 Express Airport Bus operates on a non-stop basis (24/7 operation). From the arrivals gate just follow directions to the buses. Buses leave the airport terminal approximately every 30 minutes. Take the bus route X93 : Athens Airport - Kifisos Intercity Bus Station : Get off at Liosion Bus Terminal stop or just ask the driver.
