Alonissos

Description

Blessed with rugged natural landscapes, and surrounded by small islands scattered around the archipelagos, Alónissos is the third island  of Sporades. It hosts the National Marine Park of Northern Sporades, a refuge for rare seabirds, dolphins and the Mediterranean monk seal, monachus monachus.                                                                     
Traditional tavernas can be found on several of the beaches, including Rousoum and Votsi beach. These are perfect places to try traditional fresh fish dishes, such as kakavia and chargrilled octopus. You can also try other local delicacies,  or enjoy a quiet drink in tranquil Patitiri.

Another popular yachting destination in Alonissos island is Steni Vala an idyllic anchorage , where, you will also find taverns and shops.The north western part of the island is rugged, while in the south-west you can find the most beautiful beaches: Megali Ammos, Marpounta , Kokkinokastro and Chrisi Milia
